Our Story
Dr. Lana Boter received a B.A. in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1991. She then did a year of research in Molecular Biology at Cornell Medical School, confirming her suspicion that she was more of a “people person”. She received her M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine in 1996, and completed her residency training at Methodist Hospital in 2000.
Since then, she has been in private practice as well as on the faculty at several hospitals, where she received multiple Faculty Teaching Awards. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology but currently only practices Gynecology.
In 2017, Dr. Boter opened Oasis Women’s Health in the heart of New York City. In this upscale, conveniently located office, she and her staff are committed to providing professional, compassionate care to each patient, with an emphasis on overall wellness. Whatever her patients’ needs may be, Dr. Boter strives to deliver the highest standard of medical care in all aspects of her practice.
Dr. Boter is a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Society of Gynecologic Laparoscopy and the American Medical Association. She speaks English, Spanish, Hebrew, Georgian, and a bit of French and Russian. Dr. Boter is married and has an irresistible Biewer Yorkie named Gypsy.
